CorTech is seeking to hire a Janitor / Housekeeping Associate for our medical facility client in Michigan City, IN!
3PM to 11:30PM
60 Day Assignment, Temp to Perm!
Job Duties
Responsible for moving furniture in all rooms in order to properly clean areas.
Responsible for washing walls and ceilings in all rooms assigned.
Responsible for washing all surfaces in patient rooms and offices daily.
Responsible for daily dust mopping and wet mopping of all uncarpeted floors and vacuuming all carpeted floors daily or as needed.
Responsible for collecting all waste daily in all rooms throughout the facility wearing proper protection equipment.
Responsible for washing windows and blinds in patient areas and offices as scheduled or as needed.
Responsible for maintaining clean and safe equipment used regularly in daily work, reporting any damaged or broken equipment to supervisor.
Responsible for cleaning and disinfecting all washrooms and sinks.
Responsible for spot cleaning, shampooing and vacuuming all furniture as needed.
Responsible for returning any patient property left after discharge to nursing unit.
Responsible for practicing the Company Values.
Other duties as assigned.

Education And/or Experience
High school education or equivalent preferred.
Experience in housekeeping related field preferred, however, not required.
Ability to speak, read and write English
Be able to follow instructions and learn proper cleaning method within a one (1) month training period.
Excellent time and attendance.
Physical Demands
The PHYSICAL demand level and degree of strenuous activity ranges from constant SEDENTARY WORK with a certain amount of sitting, walking and standing to frequent LIGHT WORK involving the lifting of objects up to 50 pounds of force and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to taste or smell.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision peripheral vision and depth perception.
Dress Code:
Employee uniforms must be neat and personal attire is neat and clean
Shoes must be plain black or white no graphics and totally enclosed.
Employee must display Hospital ID badge at all times.
