POSITION
SUMMARY\:

The Communications
Writer & Editor plays a key role in the success of internal communications
and external public relations campaigns while maintaining consistency of the
Health First brand voice, style and tone. This position will develop and
execute the delivery of engaging content across all channels, as well as
collaborate to deliver an effective content communications strategy and
editorial plan to meet business objectives.

This position is
classed as a partially remote workplace function.

PRIMARY
ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage all content
    creation and revisions across multiple platforms including press releases,
    pitches for members of the media, key messages for leaders, emails, as well as
    owned stories.

  • Manage all
    editing, revision and retention across multiple platforms.

  • Serve as writer
    and editor for all internal communications and public relations content to
    ensure quality, clarity and consistency.

  • Organize, modify
    and update existing content.

  • Stay updated on
    industry trends and adjust the content strategy as needed.

  • Collaborate with
    communications team to create fresh content ideas, keeping our audience in
    mind.

  • Provide editorial
    and creative support to team members.

  • Apply data
    analytics to personalize and optimize content.

Qualification:

Education\:
Bachelor’s
Degree in communications, journalism, English, public relations, or related
field.

Experience\: Seven years of
experience in public relations, communications, or related field.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities\:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • A superior knack for writing, copy
    editing, and proofreading.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

  • Creativity and the ability to develop
    original content that provokes engagement.

  • Excellent command of the English language.

  • Knowledge of Associated Press (AP) Style.

  • Strong
    orientation toward achieving personal, departmental, and corporate goals and
    objectives.
